Danish Cultural Institute Promotes Danish Band with two Brazilan Chorals in Rio, Nov/29/2009

The Danish Cultural Institute will promote show of the BrasiliDansk Band with the Children and Youth Choral (coral infanto juvenil da UFRJ ) and the Madrigal Contemporâneo Choral in the UFRJ Music College (Escola de Música da UFRJ), located in the 98 Passeio St., Centro(Downtow), Rio de Janeiro at 5:30 pm.

World Urban Forum 5 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Rapid urbanization and its impact on communities, cities, economies, climate change and policies. These are the focus of the World Urban Forum V that Rio will host in 22-26March, 2010.
The United Nations Human Settlements Programme, the UN-HABITAT, expects the forum will attract around 15.000 participants. The press expect 20.000 people. The theme for Rio 2010 is "The right to the City– bridging the urban divide".
The main participants are government leaders, ministers, mayors, diplomats, members of national, regional and international associations of local governments, non-governmental and community organizations, professionals, academics, grassroots women’s organizations, youth and slum dwellers groups as partners working for better cities.
Registration is free and all participants are expected to pay for their own travel and accommodation.
